Photo: About Us

The word VEERA means warrior in Sanskrit. It is a spiritual warrior, one that fights for truth, love and compassion. VEERA is also short for Mahaveera, another name for the Indian monkey god, Hanuman. He is known for his strength while also embodying humility, devotion and love. At VEERA, we practice to exemplify the characteristics of Hanuman.

Photo: About UsGangotri Garg, owner of VEERA YOGA has been studying the philosophy of yoga for over 30 years. Early in her journey, she was inspired by a teacher who taught  that Truth, Love & Compassion are the vital ingredients of humanity and of life. By attaching these three values to every intention, we are able to find our own truth, learn to love ourselves and others, and find compassion for everyone.  These three values are not limited to a religion, they are universal and have the power to lift humanity as a whole.  Gangotri’s love for these principles has spilled over into the mission for VEERA YOGA. She is determined to create a community around Truth, Love & Compassion through the practice & teachings of yoga.
